Gudi Padwa 2026

Hi Everyone! I’m back with another post

Today was all about celebrating Gudi Padwa, one of the most beautiful and meaningful Hindu festivals that marks the beginning of a new year. There’s something so refreshing about this day—it truly feels like a fresh start filled with positivity, hope, and new beginnings.

We began our day by setting up the Gudi in our balcony. For those who may not know, the Gudi is a decorated arrangement made with a bright cloth, flowers, and a kalash placed on top. It is believed to bring prosperity and good luck for the year ahead. Decorating it felt so special—it instantly brought festive vibes into our home.

After that, we did a small pooja, praying for a year filled with happiness, health, and success. It was simple, peaceful, and honestly one of my favorite parts of the day. There’s something so grounding about taking a moment to express gratitude and hope.

Of course, no festival is complete without delicious food! Today’s menu was a comforting and traditional spread. I made fluffy puris paired with a flavorful potato curry, along with simple dal rice for that wholesome touch. To add a sweet ending, we got vadilal kesar pista shrikhand from the store—and it was absolutely perfect!

I also wore a beautiful saree for the occasion, which made the whole celebration feel even more festive and special. Dressing up, cooking, decorating, and celebrating together—it all came together so beautifully.

Days like these remind me how important it is to stay connected to our traditions, no matter where we are. It’s these little celebrations that bring so much joy and meaning to life.

Here’s wishing everyone a year full of happiness, growth, and endless blessings :sparkles:

Until next time… :yellow_heart:

Sam :)
